Prophet ‘One’ wants to pray for Bukom Banku

Reports reaching Asempa Sports indicates that Kumasi-based Rev. Doctor Ebenezer “Opambour” Adarkwa Yiadom has invited boxer Bukom Banku to his church for fortification before facing Ayitey Powers in their rescheduled bout.

Sources close to Banku’s camp have revealed that the Prophet called the camp on Friday afternoon trying to convince them to visit his church premises in Kumasi for prayers ahead of the much awaited bout.

The leader of the team has confirmed that the man of God called to help their boxer spiritually in other to win the bout on any day.

“We just had a call from “Opambour “saying we should try and visit his church premises in Kumasi before the big bout.

“It will be nice meeting our numerous fans in Kumasi but we need proper arrangements for such an invitation because Banku would love to meet His Royal Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II,” the source added.

Meanwhile, the big bout, which was originally scheduled to come off on April 18 2014 at Accra Sports Stadium, has been postponed to May 2 at the same venue.

The postponements of the bout came after Ayitey Powers said he could not fight because his God father Prophet T. B. Joshua of the Synagogue Church of All Nations had told him not to fight on a Good Friday when he visited his church recently.
