What was wrong with the team which Grant presented against Egypt besides, there was no striker? That was a good team. We were defeated for the fact that we couldn't score to change the tempo of the game. What we need are strikers to take the mantle from Asamoah Gyan and we all have realized that Jordan Ayew is still struggling to take it. To me, that team played well. Harrison Afful's mistake to bring the penalty was an elementary defensive mistake. If he were to leave the Egyptian player after he was beat, Egypt couldn't have scored because we had about three players who closed in well before Afful tripped the opponent.

To me, it is not that we don't have the players and so should depend on the experoenced one mentioned for call-ups. We do and could play better if we concentrate on grooming them well. Bringing Kwadwo Asamoah, calling back Asamoah Gyan, if fit, and giving KPB the chance to come in with his experience instead of his attitude, to join the team we have now, I think that will be a good blend. Muntari at the moment, I don't see his matches therefore, I can't say a lot about him. However, Essien, is done. We have to respect that and allow him to rest like we did for Stephen Appiah.

That is my say on this issue of calling

Qualification for WC from the African Region at this stage of the competition allows no second chances. Cruel, but a true. Therefore, the situation in which we have put ourselves will take an 'Act of God' to fix! But, God is busy!! He has more important and pressing issues to address!!!

In Africa (at this stage), the moment a team plays and the result is only a back-to-back Draw and a Loss, it's over! Yes, we can still win everyone of our games!! But that is not a given!!! Do you remember the last time Ghana scored a goal in International play? Aha! It means, if it even comes down to goal differentials, we will still be lacking!!

The fact of the matter is, Egypt and Uganda have better chances of winning all the rest of their matches than we do. It is okay to be or sound patriotic! Patriotism comes from the heart!! Realism comes from the mind (AKA brains)!!! Which one trumps the other?

However, he couldn't cut it. The club he is playing for now has no competition in that league. That is why he is scoring that many goals. It is like coming from Kotoko or Hearts to play in the second division league. The Austrian second division league is weak compare to the England second division league.

To me, make Andre Ayew a striker and bring in Albert Adomah for the right wing to compete with Christian Atsu. Jordan and Warris shouldn't be called for the next three matches and see how they perform clubwise before extending another invitation. They need to know how serious this is.

I have always stated that we should have 2 national teams like Kwame Nkrumah's Republicans and the Black Stars. Keep all the old dogs in one team with a few young ones and pitch them against the young talents coming up. The competition will bring the best out of them to justify their inclusion in the national team. Let Desaille coach one team and Grant coach the other. This will help us tremendously. Building a winning national team side requires starting them as early as 15 and monitoring their growth and skills;we should send them abroad to compete and develop their talents. We should not wait till the last minute to start looking for the best to represent the nation.

one area GFA, has no clue in dealing with.
Failure of Ajkwasi Appiah is due to lack of confidence.
In any organization, bad boys tend to be outrageous but a leader must focus on executing his job by managing these boys to work for him.
Off course players will laugh at your inefficiencies compared to what they have learned before. That should not be an excuse discipline or banned one forever.
Our stupidity is based on assumption. Seeing a player laugh coincidentally at your presence does not necessarily mean he is laughing at you. you need to ask questions, resolve the situation and get over with it. But leaders, will not but assume and groan over such behaviors at disrespectful.

What we lack at the moment is a great ball distributor, a great ball winner whose job is to win it and pass it out. Great wing backs like Milo's time and we bounce back. Honestly I think the coach's strategy doesn't suite us. We need s younger and more desirable coach who wants to make a name for himself as well. It's only when a coach's ambition equals that of the team BStsrs will we achieve the desired results. As at now, I won't recommend any local coach because there is too much mediocrity in Ghana and with Ghanaians. We have excuse for everything and accept excuses when heads has to roll and people fired for others to sit up. The west understand this principle so well and so are ready to quit or get fired when the results hold the country or team to ransoms.

Last point. Ghana does not need to go chasing Muntari, KPB and Essien. These guys have had their time....it's time for fresh young players and using players who are playing well currently but are being ignored due to bribes or special interests.

GFA should look for a strattegique coach with an ability to read a match but not the likes of APPIAH or GRANT these two has nothing to offer Ghana football. APPIAH was our woes at the 2014 wc in Brasil so while comming back these two lack the sense to put up good players for matches like that of Ghana/ Germany&Usa 2014 and our just recently Ghana -Egypt2016 The Black Stars problems lyes within GFA and it lack of searching for good coach. The same hostile attitude prevailed during the 19 years of bitter AFRC/P-NDC regime during which Ghana could not qualify for any WC tournament. But things changed when the next govt under Kuffour started treating our players well, with the right motivation, through good incentives etc, Ghana qualified for WC-2006 hosted by Germany. Players bonuses became a big problem at WC-2014 in Brazil. Recently the players had to pay for their own air tickets to play in a match because of govt's hostile attitude. André Ayew opted to pay tickets for some players when it became necessary. This is not the way to run a National Team. It doesn't help in building team spirit; it brings our players down. Yet some people go about blaming the Coach and insult our players. They are even saying that GFA boss, Kwasi Nyantakyi, under whose admin, Ghana qualified for 3 consecutive WC has stolen money withoutany proof. Ghanaians are not honest; many of us are hypocrites. It's time for govt to do the right things and help our Black Stars shine once more. Enough of the antagonistic stance by govt and the lies..!!!

Maybe during the Afcon itself, if he's active, by then. But for now, like I keep saying, the blackstars team has been too static, no competition in all positions and obviously there is grant. Hence, not giving chances to different style of play, the bane of team's losing state. Again a good coach can take and read each match. My point is we may not need Essen and Kpb per say, we can get players who play equally as they might do. Again, it takes a descent coach with a special eye for scouting great prospects, and bold enough to give them the chance and also someone who is highly devoted. We don't need any high profile superstar coach with huge pay demands, learnt from grant. For instance, two astronomical issues facing the team now are the goalkeeping, and reliable strikers. And a good coach can easily notify these things and will search every corner of this globe to get just two reliable pair of hands and add only one of what we already have. And I think Kwarasey can be the one, with the right support n encouragement, I think grant favorite is not good. Should be allowed to go. Then this devoted coach can be on the prior to bring out tons of various strikers all over, to select 4 taller and stronger finishers to add to Gyan and Assifuah now. Jordan plays better as a right winger, can compete with Astu and Joe Dodoo/ Lloyd Sam/Owusu Abayie. Not as a striker, it may take a good coach to know it. And Waris plays like Accam and Assifuah and Accam and are better finishers. Another factor, we never had taller strikers, and its not because we can't get them. It is because none of coaches are really devoted to look around, especially at this time period, taller and stronger can be used alternatively, a good coach will have that in mind. Having our versions of the Lukaku's, Benteke's can only be a plus. Cant have Waris and Asiffua at the same damn time! And there's no way this grant guy would take his time to Google and find out from the various home and abroad players performances that some of these journalists, like Akyereko, researchs and writes about every week. Because within that roster, regular fans like I am are able to follow some of these potential strikers as they play week in week out. GFA should have a complex with training and boarding facilities and house for the management of the stars that belong to the State and revolved as management team revolves. similar to a secondary or a tertiary institution, run with monies the stars earn from their games. if the Black stars are of any worth, with good management they can be a success unit that has capital which will be revolving and capital which can be invested in the health, training, social(after playing days are over) for loyal and patriotic players and personnel who commit their careers and life to Ghana football. Its all about good management not bringing in arrogant old-boned players who are past their prime.

Only KPB plays football at any high level. I won't touch him with a 100 feet pole. His past association with the national team tells me only a donkey will fall for his stupid tricks. Dude should not play for the national team. He is a cancer and you do everything to get rid of cancer. Egypt is a good national team. When was the last time Ghana won a match in Egypt?.
Didn't the writer know Asamoah is injured and cannot possibly play for Ghana? If he is healthy , he will play. But he is not the savior. Was he not involved in the Brazil debacle. Even Messi sometimes cannot save Argentina from defeat and the last time I checked, Asamoah is not Messi.
Any reasonable person, who follows soccer should realize we cannot depend on Essien and Muntari again. Yet people call for their inclusion. If you do, then you are a BOZO. These are the same people calling for Owusu Abeyie, Oduro and every Ghanaian plying his trade on the fringes somewhere. Since we are calling for players, lets call for Kwasi Owusu, Abubakari, Wilberforce Mfum.
Capito Gyan is a shell of his former self. Injuries taking its toll and I will not put him in even if he is fit. Time to move on. Stop going back and lets look at the future. Our success in football depends on the current squad not players like KPB, Muntari, Essien, Asamoah Gyan.
So writer, go back and come back with something new. This post is pure nonsense.
