If a Russian first division team wants to sign you, why will you rather sign for a second division English team instead, especially when the Russian team is paying more? Are you saying the Ivorians are signing for English second division teams for less money than the Russians first division teams are paying? The big clubs will find and pay for a good player no matter where he plays. William played in Russia before signing with Chelsea you know. It's all about the players quality and performance.

Nobody here is talking of second division teams. We all read from this site not long ago that some teams in the English EPL were interested in him. I don't care about Willian. Willian is not a Ghanaian. It is an undisputed fact that blacks of African descent have not been treated with respect in Eastern Europe. Besides, Ghanaian player have not fared very well in the East. Many have lost form while others have had career ending injuries. Do the following names remind you of anything? Illiasu Alhasan, Inkoom, Wakaso, Adiyah etc. I tell you this is a wrong move for our beloved Jo Mends. Let's remember him in our prayers.

You don't know what you are talking about. Sapel mentioned English championship and that is second division in England Ok. Secondly, only Wakaso is a good player out of the 5 players you mentioned and that is why he has managed to move to Spain. Remember also that Wakaso couldn't make it at Celtic when he was on loan from Russia. It's very convenient for you to reject my point about Willian just to support your emotional driven argument. I'm not saying that racism isn't affecting Ghanaian players. My point is that if a player has quality and performs, other teams will want to sign him from Russia. You have to know that these players go to Russia when nothing better is available for them. Who in his right mind will choose Russia over EPL, La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga or Ligue 1 when the opportunity is available? The fact of the matter is that many Ghanaian players are substandard but a lot of us don't see it.
