PHOTOS: Jonathan Mensah completes Anzhi move

Ghana's defender Jonathan Mensah has joined Russian side Anzhi Makhachkala on a two-and-half-year deal from French side Evian TG.

Mensah, who will join the rest of the Anzhi squad at their winter training camp in Spain, has been attracting the attention of English Premier League side Swansea City, who were interested in picking Mensah up on a free transfer this summer when his contract expires.

Anzhi will hope his experience will help to plug their leaky defense, as they currently have the worst defensive record in the league, with 31 goals conceded in 18 games.
