(2) "It does not hurt to take care of someone you have dated before granting the fact that one good turn deserves another so if AG is even taking care of her for any other reason that is even okay after were once lovers".

What flimsy arguments!
(i) Who established that "fact" that they had unprotected sex? Granted that it even did happen, the writer should note that not all unprotected sex result in pregnancy.
(ii) Until the pregnancy is proved to be his, why should it be the responsibility of AG to provide financial support to her - remember she is not his wife - and to the best that I have heard about the story, the lady came upfront with conditions! Something that will make any genuine thinking being suspicious!
If the DNA proves to be his, then AG should be prepared to pick up the bills. Until that happens, no one must blame AG. They both had unprotected sex - if unwanted pregnancy has occurred they, both, are culpable. The woman's responsibility is steep at this stage; but the man's comes in strong later!
What we must remember that a woman can also have two or more lovers; what about if AG is not the only lover of the lady?

Lessons:
(i) If you're not ready for any pregnancy, unprotected sex must be a "no-no". Both individuals who are going to have sex must take equal responsibility to ensure that condoms are used!
(ii) The so-called "celebrities" must know that it takes years to build a 'brand name'; but that name can be shattered in seconds! "celebrities" must thus be mindful of every step they take. When people swarm them, they must know that whoever comes closer to them has his/her own agenda!
(iii) Lastly in this era of HIV, I'm surprised people are still not protecting themselves during sex. It's mind-boggling. The fact that AG and the lady had to go public over this issue means that they had not planned to have a baby. So, why didn't they protect themselves?
What has happened in the AG case, can happen to anyone -male or female- who is sexually active.
Wear condoms ooooo; otherwise stay abstinent and focus on your education!

Asamoah Gyan can philanthropically take care of this child which may likely to be his own child anyway. Looking at his stature, what is demanded is less than one quarter of his one week salary. People with no money struggle to be philanthropists in similar situations. What afte all the child turns out to be his? Is he the first person to have a child outside marriage? So what is the matter here? I don't understand. This child can grow and be richer than him, after all he is not the richest man in the world and most rich men started from no where like him Asamoa Gyan. AG has not denied that there was consensual sex between him and the young lady and there's nothing inherently wrong with asking for a paternity test. After all, one study estimates that as many as 1in every 400 sets of fraternal twins is "bi-paternal", ie 2 eggs from the same mother gets fertilized by 2 different men within the same ovulation period. Isn't it logical then that when the same woman has sex with more than one man while in her ovulation period each egg can be fertilized by a different man? In the same vein, AG may have had sex with the woman but still not responsible for the pregnancy if the woman had sex with another man within her fertility period.
Having said that,will AG ever be able to beat the bad rap associated with this and other accusations against him? The mysterious disappearance of his hip-life buddy Castro while they were holidaying together is yet to be unravelled.
One thing that has the power to unite an otherwise severely polarized Ghanaian population is football and if Asamoah Gyan is captain of the men's senior football team,the Black Stars, then AG must avoid controversy and scandal,the unnecessary bad rap, and become a symbol of peace, unity , stability and progress. AG would be immortalizing his name and fame if he should become an example of the good father of his kids and the loving husband of one wife. Our nation is suffering because there are too many broken homes/broken families. The family is the basic unit of society. Stronger families mean a stronger nation and vice versa. Captain Asamoah Gyan must tone it down and avoid all the negative attention he's getting. He's rich but money can make or unmake him,depending on how he uses the money. I think he should settle out of court with the young lady and keep his pants zipped. He has the trappings of greatness around him but he can end up a huge failure.
