The colors you see of the falls at night are not natural, they are colored electrical bulbs designed purposely to throw light on the falls at night. The water doesn't change colors. You talk as if there are no pot holes in Canada but that's a big fat lie. At least I can boldly talk about Niagara, Toronto and Montreal. Apart from the main road from USA to Toronto, you'll not drive more than a mile anywhere without bumps in Toronto. Kwasia, even in the heart of the city where the major attractions are kwraa has pot holes. I spent a week in Toronto and a week in Niagara in 2012. In 2013, I spent a week in Montreal so don't sit there and blow your horn.
