He captained the BSs to win 1978 Afcon against Uganda with "Bayie" Opoku Afriyie (also of blessed memory) netting both winning goals with Head of State I.K. Acheampong in attendance at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Players of both finalist teams with runners-up Nigeria were airlifted from the pitch by a military aircraft to I think Burma Camp or so after the game.
The govt promised the winning team estate houses but seemed like didn't materialize.
Those were really the days of Ghana soccer.
"Foyoo" of AGOSU fame, may your soul RIPP!!
