Players should know that playing for your national team in such competition is equivalent to a master's degree in life. Ask abedi pele which country can deny him Visa in this world? National team appearance improves CVs of players. Kudus and co rode on the shoulders of the national team at the world cup to attract big teams. We should stop the winning bonus and appearance fees to players and rather reward them heavily when they win tournaments. Per diem is ok for their upkeep.

What is very annoying is the fact that our ladies allowed the Zambians to manhandle them in their own backward. The Zambians don't want to move away from the ball whenever there was a free kick, and nobody pushes or shove them away from the ball for time wasting. I don't know what they will do to them in the return leg. Zambia players were misbehaving throughout the game, but our players became feeble and lame ducks without any confrontation. They forgot that playing for a spot to the Olympics is like war. The ladies didn't show up today at all. They have not stood up to the bully tactics of the Zambians. They became inferior to the Zambians in their own ground. It is a shame!

We should have tested our readiness against SA, Cameroun, Nigeria or Equatorial Guinea before meeting Zambia. Though we won our earlier matches, the team has been sluggish, without aggression and intensity.
Zambia beat Germany in a friendly before going to the World Cup. Even if we manage to win here at home, we would lose miserably in the second leg in Zambia.
