There they go again. Therumour mill is grinding fodder for us to chew. If Maxwell Konadu is fit for purpose ,why don't you appoint him as the substantive coach? I just don't understand one thing. When Kwesi Appiah got the Sudan job,he was given leeway to appoint his own backroom staff. Why is that the gfa always want a finger in the pie of coaches? All in all, the only solution is that the gfa should concentrate on developing soccer in the country and leave the selection of national coaches to a special group that really understands national interest. I do not think FIFA has made the appointment of coaches a perogative of football,associations.

Per the criteria set by the search committee, the prospective coach must have 15 years of coaching experience. Otto Addo certainly doesn't qualify based on this criteria. How do you appoint an assistant coach when you're even yet to find a substantive coach? Leave the selection of the assistant coach to the one who'll be appointed as Head coach. He'll have to choose the kind of person he can work with. It was quite obvious that the appointment of two assistants for coach Chris Houghton caused more harm than good. Stop repeating the same old mistakes !

I Think Maxwell Konadu is more qualified than 99% of the Coaches who have applied. He is a known Team builder. He won the League with Kotoko. He has won two Chan Cups for Ghana. He has also been to the Chan finals twice and lost on penalties. The last time we lost in the Afcon finals was under Maxwell Konadu. He was the assistant coach. He recently lifted Legon Cities from relegation to 9th position. Currently look at the wonders He is doing with Nsoatreman FC. He can deliver when given the Opportunity. They are sitting at the 4th position in the Ghana premier League..

I understand Coach Konadu did WIN two CHAN Cups for Ghana. Thus I'm talking about the Local Black Starts. He was also in the Finals with the Local Black Stars in South Africa during which beat countries like Nigeria in the semi finals. However he was beaten on Penalties by Libya to lift the cup. Maxwell Konadu is not just a team builder but also a winner. He is very Excellent at tournaments and Should be Giving the Black Stars Job.
