Minister of Sports and Recreation, Kofi Adams, has arrived before Parliament’s Youth and Sports Committee to brief them on Ghana’s participation in the 2026 FIFA World Cup and the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).

The Black Stars reached the 2026 World Cup. Still, they exited at the Round of 32 stage, while the Black Queens failed to reach the 2026 WAFCON semi-finals and consequently missed automatic qualification for the 2027 Women’s World Cup.

However, they secured a place in the intercontinental play-offs.

The briefing is expected to cover the two major tournaments, as well as other related matters arising from Ghana’s participation and preparations.
