According to the president, Van Calebs his outfit will not back down on their commitment to children and old women in the country
He said that charity activities will be held every public holiday to support the aforementioned group of people.
He added that the ‘Walking Stick’ Foundation in the month of May will visit both the Volta and Central Regions of Ghana to share some items as well as provide education on health. He said this is one of the ways to ensure that society grows uniformly and is the sole purpose of the ‘Walking Stick’ Foundation.
The ‘Walking Stick’ Foundation embarked on its first project in January this year. The Founder Van calebs, together with a team comprising other philanthropists and celebrities namely actor Andy Tettey, Alex Leeothers, visited the ‘Osaebo M/A Basic school’ in the Eastern Region of Ghana.
They gave free exercise books, sanitary pads, bags of rice, soft drinks and other items to the pupils and the old women in the community. The Founder of the ‘Walking Stick’ Foundation said that this gesture would be reciprocated throughout Ghana starting in May 2020.
“We will be visiting two regions in May this year to offer our support by providing stationery, food stuffs and most importantly basic education on matters of health. These areas will be Nkwanta – North in The Volta Region and Biriwa in the Central Region. We know that with little acts of concern for each other, our society will grow together in love, peace and unity”, he said.
The ‘Walking Stick’ Foundation was formed to assist children and old women and widows in deprived communities in Ghana. The organization has partnered companies namely ‘Terk care foundation, ‘Aid Out Ghana’ as well as individuals on previous projects. The Founder Van Calebs appreciated the support and called for more collaborations with both individuals and corporate institutions.
“We would like to thank everyone who has been with us throughout this journey, especially Bruce F. Brown; your contributions have been very helpful. We also welcome others, including volunteers, to join the train and help in changing our society for the better”, he said.
