The new Chief Justice, Mr Anin-Yeboah, has revealed that former Chief Justice, Mrs Georgina Theodora Wood, taught him the rudiments of judicial administration.

Justice Anin-Yeboah praised Mrs Wood during his swearing-in ceremony on Tuesday, 7 January 2020 at the Jubilee House for being a pillar in his career.

“I also want to thank Her Ladyship Justice Georgina Theodora Wood for teaching me the basic administration in the judicial process. I commend her for her zeal and quality of justice delivered,” Justice Anin-Yeboah said.

He further expressed appreciation to his predecessor Justice Sophia Akuffo for her dynamic leadership during her term in office.

The new Chief Justice thanked his Supreme Court colleagues, members of the bar and the judicial service staff for supporting him all throughout the years.

Justice Anin-Yeboah has promised to guard the integrity of the judiciary jealously.

“I want to assure the people of Ghana that I’ll continue to jealously guard the integrity of the judiciary as my predecessors in office have done and will take all the necessary steps to ensure that during my term of office, solutions are found to these issues of concern.

“In doing so, Your Excellency, I’ll count on your support to secure the much-needed financial resources for improved and efficient Justice delivery,” he said.
