Reports suggest this year's SRC Presidential Elections at the University of Ghana may not come off Reports suggest this year's SRC Presidential Elections at the University of Ghana may not come off

The 2018/2019 SRC Presidential elections of the University of Ghana scheduled to take place on Thursday April 19, 2018 may not come off as planned after candidates clashed Wednesday evening over their positions on the ballot.

According to reports, one out of the five presidential hopefuls prior to the printing of the official ballot sheets had expressed his discontent over his position on the paper, therefore, calling for a revision.

His plight was subsequently rejected because according to the remaining aspirants, the Electoral Commission of the Institution organized a ballot for the aspirants to gamble for their respective spots on the ballot sheet, rendering the formers request superfluous.

Prior to the printing of the official ballot papers Wednesday, April 18, 2018, it emerged that the said aspirant still insisted for the changes to be effected. The other aspirants however protested and consequently threatened to boycott the general elections should there be any double-dealings.

The misunderstanding which erupted in the wake of the commotion forced the incumbent SRC President to call for hold of the print until the issue is resolved.
