Failure to take concrete and punitive measures against galamsey means, we are not a civilize nation. Remember that "water is life" and we should not compromise the decision being taken by the government.

Galamsey areas are known and should be under the guard of the military cum the police with simple instruction to "shoot to kill ask questions later". We shouldn't compromise the effort being taking by the government and in the future we will all breathe a sigh of relieve.

I expected a better approach remedy from this government, not to just walk down the same path of enriching the security officers while the menace continues. Think harder, hold the district n municipal heads accountable n the menace will end in a month

You are right so don't keep these forces at one location for 6 weeks but transfer them frequently. They should occasionally be replaced from others from the barracks so they don't become corrupt. On patrol, include spies and some members of the District assembly with them. When arrested, they should be forced to tell those who gave the land to them. Put those arrested in overcrowded jails and prisons. If they are Chinese, don't treat them differently and don't grant them bail. Fill identified pits with concrete and sand.
