I have attended graduation ceremonies here in the UK where POST-HUMOUS Degrees were awarded in similar situations, collected by relatives. The reporter may have used the word HONORARY wrongly. He should have used POST-HUMOUS, which means occuring after death.

Ghanaians act with mere emotion without asking the much needed question to find out the truth. What was the late Maj. Mahama doing at Denkyira Obuasi?

This is the question we should be asking rather than feeling sorry and commenting with emotions. The guy is dead but something went wrong somewhere and someone pushed the guy to his untimely death.

We know that our military do not have any training facility around that area so who deployed the young man to do "what" at Denkyira Obuasi? Informed sources say that they were protecting a mining company from either Alaska or Canada which was wrong. When did our military engage in such foolish deployment and who gave that orders?

It is sad for a young man to die senselessly like that while those who pushed him to his untimely death are walking and enjoying life with their wives and children.

Are we afraid to hold people to account for their mistakes then we should expect such irresponsible death every time. Someone gave the orders for the young man to go and protect an illegal activity which resulted in his death and such an entity should be brought to face the law.

I don't care if he is awarded the highest degree in "what" but will he benefit from such an award? I am not being petty here but I want the truth to come out and those who deployed him to his death should be arrested and questioned.
