    Each household has to buy its own trash can/dustbin.City, Municipal or District Council buy the one's in Public place,in my personal opinion.

    My concern is that households will even relieve themselves in containers at home and throw the contents into the dustbins.

    That's going to endanger the health of their neighbours and that of the City Council's collectors.

    Ghanaians should remove their hats and salute the judge who fined the littering culprits. For so long we are choking on sting and filth. It is high time that we kept Ghana clean and tidy.

    This is right step to govern our city either by the government initiative or Accra Municipal Council on our environmental disasters and frequent floods in the city. Even if we need CCTV to caught them.

    What kind of language are they deficient on? I am sure they speak some kind of Ghanaian language....we need to get away from this kind if colonial mentality!

    It all has to start from somewhere. That's the beginning, we have to stop throwing rubbish anywhere. Rubbish blocks our drainage systems, and when it rains we all see the consequences. Make Abeka the Singapore of Ghana!

    The sanitation day introduced by the previous government needs to be reinstated. It was a way of cleaning our environments at least once a month.

    When I was young the tankas( town council) would come to people house and charge (saman ) ,send them to court if your house , drinking pot,etc.is filthy, but today is a no no.
