I am wondering why this Alhaji newspaper would not change. It has the penchant of twisting statements. What the Majority leader said is true, and it was not only Asawase township that was asphalted. In the story itself, the other towns were mentioned. So, why twist it to mean that because Asawasi is predominantly a muslim area that is why the Majority leader is complaining?
This kind of journalism never helped Mahama. You cannot do the same things always and expect different results!

I now believe in what Has Oswego Marco said was right. We Ashanti's would've been better if we were an independent country. For years Ghana has been living on Obuasi gold mines and now we're going use Nyinahin bauxite to leverage $19bn Chinese loan.
What do we get in return?Kofi Awono used our gold money to educate ewe and the cheek of it Manama has given the bauxite to his brother.
We don't mind sharing our resources but when the push comes to the shore we'll go independent.

" In a no hold bar attack on former Chief Executive of COCOBOD, Dr Stephen Opuni, the Majority Leader who doubles as Minister for Parliamentary Affairs and MP for Suame, said Asawase, a Muslim dominated community in Ashanti region, should not have benefitted from cocoa proceeds.'
Reading the above, Muslims must know that the Zongo community must therefore not even benefit from the nations resources. Does the majority leader know what he is saying or just his emotions without the benefit of his intellect and play foolish senseless politics as usual ?
If he is questioning the asphalting of roads in Asawasi from funds from cocoa roads, one may ask, Does Asawasi lead to any cocoa growing areas within the Ashanti Region ? Better still is Asawasi a transit town to any of the cocoa growing areas ?
Everybody and every town is entitled to our cocoa road fund whether they grow or not grow cocoa. Majority leader my black ass, i benefited from Cocoa board scholarship when i was in school and not because i applied for it which i didnt but because i was among the top 100 students who took part in the common entrance and passed above the mark that qualifies for it. My parents were not cocoa farmers and never were till they passed away.

The NPP in a big tribal hegemonic organization. For the whole of the period under review, the KMA was engaged in a protracted internicent feud between the royal families as to who should rightly be appointed the presiding member of the assembly. Meanwhile funds allocated for development of the city was sitting there idly. Asokore Mampong municipality which was carved out of the most deprived part of Kumasi took advantage of the situation and utilized the funds to develop that part of the city which was hitherto neglected into a millennium city and you are now crying.

Your political and tribal mindedness is leading you into foolishness if not all these comment would not have come from Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu. Basically if majority of Ghanaians are not fools and primitive in their thinking they would have condemned Osafo Marfo from the word GO but no wonder there was not any.
Yes we are a nation with people of primitive oriented mnentality if not why is it that the nation had been drawn into speaking TWI instead of ENGLISH which could have helped our education better. Today there are students in both JHS and SHS with problems in English language which had automatically affected their performance generally when education is concerned. Why are they not occupied with that but instead cocoa roads. Foolish village so called politicians with HON before their names?
It is unfortunate that these foolish politicians who are political and tribal bigots are rather making foolish arguments of cocoa roads development in the same region like it is in another region because their political hatred mingled with their tribal primitivity had led into thinking other way round because they see Northerners or muslims as the dominating group in that part of their region. Another primitive move...
If you are not fools, those of you including the village tribal bigot like Osafo Marfo should have thought of the one who brought cocoa to Ghana before talking of Cocoa as an issue of reference to resources in those regions. What has Ghana done to that man's region when you talk of cocoa.
You, Osafo Marfo and others of similar minds will continue to remain primitive in all things that you do because you are simply curse if not why should this mentality be an isse of paramount importance if evil spirits have not dominated you. Fools in politics.
