  Imagine Prof Avoke was the immediate past Chairman of the Governing Council of the erstwhile Ho Polytechnic, now Ho Technical University. If Avoke can bastardize the finances of UEW, with the connivance of the Finance Officer, what is there that he didnt do to wrecj the finances of Ho Polytechnic? Ho Polytechnic has always had the misfortune of having corrupt Professors appointed as Council Chairmen. Avoke's predecessor at Ho Polytechnic was another thief called professor Adimado, formerly of KNUST.
  
  Tertiary institutions in the Volta Region must take a cue from Supi Kwayera for having the guts to take on a whole University over corruption. You can do it in the VR but not in the CR. So, a whole VC denied lecturers decent residential and office accommodation due to greed and condesceding behaviour?
  
  Kudos to the concerned lecturers of UEW.

Cos when i google scholar his name, he doesn't have anything worthy to be called an academician hence such gibberish. Gyimi, where in the university is Pro VC elected by Convocation? Even his stupid self woth no PhD and nothing to show as academician in terms of quality publication has to be confirmed by the University Council as assistant lecturer if he doesn't know. I am waiting for the day, NCTE will compel the univeristis to sack all fools like your lecturer who doesn't have the minimum entry requirement( PhD) in public universities. Gyimifo)

  Your arguement is very empty and its a pity. The election by convocation doesn't not make one a PVC until council rectify and approves it just as in the absence of council no staff can be appointed to a professor status even if you are through with every assessment. You may not even be back dated if the council decides so.
  After the PVC elections as stated in the status, two candidates are presented to council to appoint one of them. they are not bound to appoint your winner, its just a convention.
  Get some education. Best practices require that the system of elections are stopped and the model in UG introduced.
