Akufo-Addo must not be in a hurry to succeed - Prophet Badu Kobi

Prophet Emmanuel Badu Kobi, the founder of the Glorious Wave Church International, has chastised President Nana Akufo-Addo for saying that he is in a hurry to fix Ghana's problems.

Speaking in parliament earlier this year, Akufo-Addo told the speaker that the challenges confronting Ghana demanded that the country is in "a hurry to deal with the problems we face". "We are going to have to implement some tough, prudent and innovative policies to get out of this financial cul-de sac,” he added. But in an interview on Accra-based Kasapa FM, Prophet Kobi said Akufo-Addo was wrong to be in a hurry.

He said he gets sad each time he hears Akufo-Addo speak that way because, according to him, even God was not in a hurry to build heaven and earth. He said God took his time, using seven days to complete the project.

The prophet said if Akufo-Addo was not careful, his only achievement after four years in office would be a couple of infrastructural projects. He said if he got the opportunity to meet the president, he would tell him to his face that he [Akufo-Addo] was doing so many things wrongly.

“If you’re in a hurry you’ll commit a lot of blunders. It is wrong to say that. If I check my president, a lot of things he says are wrong. I’ll continue to criticise him because people don’t like to be told the truth. Why don’t people listen to what some of us say and see if there’s any merit in them,” he said.
