If there is any issue with the Chinese and Syrians in Ghana the deputy Minister must deal with it. He should not insult Diasporans for that.

Apologizing is okay but the guy should be fired to serve as a notice to those who will follow suit. Getting a political position should not pushed one to act silly like this "four-legged" swine.

The impudence of a fool like Ahomka -Lindsay. Why does he think that the diasporans travelled in the first place? Reason why Africa is as it is , is because of useless pegs like Ahomka - Lindsay deputising in sensitive ministries like the Trade and Industry sector… the guy is offing full of himself otherwise why will he make such a sweeping statement at all? No African country has been able to go past the development stages of real industries on the local level to make them competitive, why because we have , weak materials like Ahomka - Lindsay in office who will tell you it cannot be done. He should be removed from office ASAP.

This is a test case for the president. Until the president fired this guy, we shall consider the president as a toothless bulldog. The president must tread very careful on this case because this arrogant' s rantings can make or unmake Nana's presidency.

I have lived in two countries outside Ghana and visited a few more. You only need to start a conversation with a fellow Ghanaian about Ghana and you will agree with the Minister that Ghanaian abroad do whine a lot. The ways in which we talk about Ghana seem to suggest that merely traveling abroad has made us wiser than anybody else back at home. We see everything wrong and project ourselves to have all the answers. Yet we do nothing. If that is not whining and arrogance I don't know what is. A most disappointing thing to me is to hear “diasporians” refer to our brothers and sisters who are back home as "Ghanafo de3". It is as if they are no longer Ghanaians. If it wasn't for political correctness, which demands choosing words for public speech carefully, regardless of the truth, there will be no need for an apology.

Oh yes we do, and in a complimentary sense. Unfortunate, when "diasporians" use "Ghanafo de3" it is often for something negative from which they want to alienate theselves

why for once cant ghanaians co-exist with the truth, even though they abhor the truth.?
who can honestly say diasporeans dont whine , and have bloated egos?
when did we collectively become blind to their all knowing and self righteous attitudes?
i have seen ghanaians being bossed around and disrespected by mere counter clerks at JFK they stared sheepishly and grumbled like failed car brakes.,
yet these ghanaians would not be patient in immigration lines at KIA.
they hurl disgusting comments at senior immigration officers some of whom toiled for ghana whilst they attending high schools in the diaspora if the minister has to apologise to be politically correct, that is part of his occupational hazard.
Diasporeans must understand from the onset that we need each other ,they are not being requested to participate in national development as a favour to ghana and ghanaians.

Where is the evidence to prove your allegation ? Often, the majority of diasporians sympathize with locals. After all, they are our brothers and sisters. The locals have often be incited to see the diasporians as enemies. The real enemies are the local 'bigshots' who are milking the system without checks and balances. The diaporians will definitely question corruption when they see it happening. Is that whining, Arrogance, disrespectfulness ? Whwther you like it or not, the diasporians will be involved in the development of the country through teir expertise, and money. The do not intend to steal the little money that the country has. They will discourage corruption and all what the out-going British High commissioner was talking about. Let us just face the facts and embrace our brothers and sisters from the diaspora. We all mean a good future for Ghana.
