  This bridge is too narrow and week, it must be closed for a new one , there is an alternative road at Fomena through Bekwai, but, let me ask , what has the town Obuasi done to deserve this total neglect.

  I just used the road and wondered why Obuasi and its environs could be neglected in such a way. That stretch of road has never been asphalted. It is always re-graveled with chippings and has always been considered a second class road up to date. Even Nana Ampadu(the misician)was once awarded a contract to fix that road during the time of Rawlings. Citizens on that road have been short-changed big time. As we speak the road is full of man-holes and its a shame to see where such massive revenue have been raked into Govt chest to be abandoned and neglected in a such a manner. And surprisingly a prominent politician hailed from that area even though he died quite recently.
