I was expecting you to critique the decision and conclude whether it was a good on or not. In my view it was a bad decision as prices immediately sky rocked to the nearest whole number

It's has increased our standard of living and inflation and has been the source of pricing in dollars in Ghana because we made the cedi stronger than the dollar but we couldn't sustain it and now people are adamant in pricing ...

I wonder how useless a Ghanaian currency would have been by now if the currency wasn't re-denominated.The factors that has caused the currency to loose its value includes greed,manipulations,corruption and lack of productivit ...

I wonder how useless a Ghanaian currency would have been by now if the currency wasn't re-denominated.The factors that has caused the currency to loose its value includes greed,manipulations,corruption and lack of productivity.Why blame Bawumia for the fall of the cedi? He could have been blamed if he had been in a position within the last 10 years to supervise it.The NPP lost power one year after introducing the currency.The NDC may not have shared the vision of the currency change and also lacked understanding to the dynamics of the change hence couldn't sustain the value of the currency.Another reason may include the lost in value of the Euro due to the Greek-Euro crisis.People should not just accuse Bawumia for the devaluation of the cedi.It's one of the most sensible decisions ever taken in Ghana.How many thousands would one be requiring to buy a ball of kenkey by now.And the implication is government always had to adjust the currency value by printing more notes.
