  ##SOURCE: MYNEWSGH.COM ------ The much awaited report by the Kwesi Botchway committee has disclosed that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has a weak intellectual and research base indicating that this played a key role in the party’s defeat in the 2016 elections. According to the committee, the NDC needs to take steps to crowd the party with critical thinkers in order to make the NDC a better party.

  We have to respect the law and it's grinding processes in order to arrive at an acceptsble decision. However, when it is being convoluted as in the case of Woyome, it has been going on for almost a decade. We give room for people in the street, to question the integrity of the law process. They arrive at a definite conclusion: one set of laws for the rich and famous and another, for the poor and marginalized. This gives rise to all manner of uncivilized behavior. I need not remind us of the spate of barbaric behaviors of late. I cannot believe that a poor person, caught with a pregnant goat, will be allowed to use technicalities of the law, to stay
  away from prosecution for all this while.

  This problem may not have got started in the first place had NPP not awarded him the contracts later abrogated by Kufuor even though Osafo Marfo warned him Kufuor over the possibility of Woyome going to courts over judgment debts. This whole affair was borne out of Kufuor's insatiable appetite for cheap money.

  This case must be done with, it has dragged on for far too long. Stupid fools in the NDC should have stolen more money to just pay the state back.
