Sally, I live and work in Ghana. I am in it with everyone else. The USA has the right to deport any person that enters that country illegally. All countries have that right. Ghana, has the right to deport anybody that comes here illegally. The USA is within their right to expel Mr Awudu. No need for insults.
For a foreigner to come to Ghana, they must apply for a visa, that can in some cases be declined. This is universal. There are legal ways to obtain asylum in EVERY SINGLE COUNTRY in the world. LEGAL Methods. Mr Awudu does not have a leg to stand on because he tried to go there illegally. That is my point.

And my father, lived simply in Ghana and passed away a simple man in 1980 having made an honest living and lived a simple life.
We must follow the rule of law rather than your emotion/lawlessness and corruption. Let us be truthful.

Now, why don't we rather discuss how to fix Ghana so that Mr Awudu does not feel compelled to break laws to run away from here. Would that not be a more constructive discussion than your rather abusive argument. The Ambassador of the USA to Ghana is not a freak. He is upholding the rules and regulations of a country that everyone seems to want to go to for milk and honey for that precise reason.... Upholding the rules and regulations.

Parliament asking to meet with the US Embassy is nothing but grandstanding and giving the appearance of being in the interest of the deportees. The deportees claimed they were maltreated by the US.There's nothing wrong with rounding up illegal aliens as humanely as possible and sending them back to their countries. They were denied asylum in the US, so the next course of action was to deport them back to Ghana.
