    please, you don't have an idea about what you are talking about. Last year Muslim pilgrims paid an amount of GHC 12,000.00 Ghana cedis for the pilgrimage.

    In fairness to ALL religious affiliations in Ghana, I am in consensus with the Christian Council. We need fairness to all religions in Ghana.

    I strongly disagree with the CC. Govt does it for moslems, why not Christians? Then they should take govt to court to force-stop moslems being sponsored.

    The govt only coordinates and facilitates the Hajj. The Hajj pilgrims pay for the Hajj in full.

    Point of correction. Government doesn't pay for moslims but individual moslims pay for their pilgrimage to Mecca.
    The Political party may decide to pay for some of its members but not but not the entire moslim body.

    this was born out of politics just to win votes from certain communities. is high time government stopped this practice and channel the money into something that will benefit the nation in terms of development.

    The gov't has not said anywhere that it was going to sponsor Christian Pilgrimage. The gov't today does not sponsor any Pilgrimage. It only facilitates the Muslim Pilgrimage, so stop making unnecessary 'noise'.
