  This minister, occupying such an important position at this time when as a country we are waging war against the destruction of the environment and water sources, has been deafeningly silent on critical issues concerning his ministry. He has left the fight to the Minister of Lands and Mineral Resour es.
  Ministers responsible for the environment in Ghana tend to manifest disinterest in the portfolio. This sector requires passion and commitment and I believe activists on environmental issues should in future be considered for the position.
