This year, 2017, each of the about 6,200 expected pilgrims to Mecca will be paying $US 3,450.00 amounting to 15,000.00 cedis. IT IS THE GOVERNMENT THAT RATHER MAKES PROFIT FROM HAJJ. Each of these pilgrims will acquire a passport and pay tax on air ticket. BESIDES, THE GOVERNMENT GETS COMMISSION BASED ON THE NUMBER OF PILGRIMS: 1 free person for every 10 people. It is that governments of the day uses to send PARTY MEMBERS. SAUDI GOVERNMENT DON'T DEAL WITH INDIVIDUALS CONCERNING HAJJ. It is country to country and for that matter country to country. There is this booming rate of new churches why not invest this money into helping them grow. Get them to register and support them in the form of grants. This will help the government to have a say in shaping our churches. Most of these churches are out of the way due to poverty. But we can do something to have the best society. Much money is spent to run a Democratic state and so is morality. If we develop an immoral nation then we are doomed forever. Think Ghana!

God's work is as a priority as a poor christian yearning to see the birthplace of Jesus. These men of God are basking in wealth so attempting to cast aspersion at a salient thought of government to modestly sponsor christians to enjoy the same taste that these men of God enjoy on others' dime. He does not speak for all christians. He speaks for the COP. Such insightful and educative pilgrimage are spiritually rewarding. A modest start is in the right direction and it is not up to men of God to blight such hopes.
