Jerry John Rawlings has stated that greed among some party members led to their loss in the 2016 general elections. He claimed corruption increased to insane levels under John Mahama and accused them of departing from the values of probity and accountability which formed the basis under which the party was formed. According to him, it was mainly because of the corruption that the NDC lost power to the governing New Patriotic Party.

Apaak is someone who was part of a government that was in power for eight years.During that period did he not see it fit to attend to the needs of Mental patients?

Six months into a new administration and he is throwing tantrums.

No JDM had other priorities like looting state funds for his own personal gains that he could care a toss of whether our mental health institutions were up grade to to match the demand for example creativity, ICT and simple renovation to make mental health institutions more inviting and above all welcoming atmosphere for the patients and families.

Why talk about the Northern part of Ghana only when there is a dire need for better Mental Health Care policy and facilities all across the country? You've lived in Accra all these years and a top NDC official in Gov't and you never saw the deplorable state of our top Mental Hospital at Asylum Down in Accra or were you blind when you were driving past it in your air conditioned state funded 4x4 vehicle? Suddenly, in opposition, your political blinkers are now off and suddenly you can now see the obvious! Ghana needs modern Health facilities for every district, if possible, and not for the North only!!
