Both Afenyo Markin and the judge do not know how universities operate. so we can forgive them for thier ignorance. The Vice chancellor is the CEO, the Chief administrator, the chief disciplinarian, the Chief Spending Officer. So If he is asked not to Operate it is just like severing the head off the body. life would be extinguished. Without the VC, the Registrar, or what we call Principal Officers The University cannot Function. So Mr Afenyo Markin the Registrar did no wrong by closing down the University

It looks like Afenyo markin did not appreciate the implications of what he asked for when he asked that the principal authorities of the School should cease to operate.

How can the University function without these key decision makers. In their absence who would authorise spending, sign important documentations needed for progression. This is real politics at its best.

Surprised you spoke this way. I hope you read the reliefs being sort by the plaintiff. The issue on hand is if these key principals do step aside, there is no one to take over because the pro vc who should was confirmed by the council whose authority is being questioned which automatically means he is equally illegal as the plaintiff claims the other officers are. Let's understand the issue at hand before we remark.

as a layman i find it difficult to interpret the ruling otherwise than as did UEW because it was the offices (of v-c, registrar and finance directorate) that were to cease operations, and not being the appointing authority, the court has no power, i believe, to remove the individuals who at any time may be holding office, consequently, those offices in my view cannot be operated by deputies etc as to do that is tantamount to operating! well, i'm only a layman and, perhaps, should leave lawyers to talk big english!

Mr Kwame, I think you are ignorant about how authorities operate in our universities, so I can forgive you. But let me tell you Afenyo Markin is just such a vindictive person. The guy he is using now as a puppet in this case is the same guy he used in the landmark supreme court ruling on the postponement of district assembly election. First he is bitter that the current VC of uew was appointed bcoz he think he is an NDC member, that's why apart from requesting the resolution of the board, he also want the VC to be replaced by the pro-vice chancellor ,and all the roads construction that was awarded by the current administration be rendered illegal, this because the construction of the roads was done by the NDC chairman who is a contractor. He doesn't care about about the repercussions of the reliefs he is asking for, especially we, the vulnerable students; even those who have completed 4years ago, will not be left out. So we are talking about thousands of student. Both the judge and Afenyo are ignorant about processes at the university, if not why do grant those reliefs and still expect the university to operate. Is it not the same board you're challenging that approved the Pro vice chancellor too. Greedy bastards!!?? But Afenyo should know that we students played a role in him retaining his seat in Parliament.
