Jerry John Rawlings has stated that greed among some party members led to their loss in the 2016 general elections. He claimed corruption increased to insane levels under John Mahama and accused them of departing from the values of probity and accountability which formed the basis under which the party was formed. According to him, it was mainly because of the corruption that the NDC lost power to the governing New Patriotic Party.

Look, Abronye is a single person who helped to promote and sell the NPP to the electorates and if the NPP is treating him this way it is not good. Some of us are even advising ourselves because of the stupidity and poor quality decisions of some useless university graduates in the NPP government.

To know who is telling the truth, the Head of Transport at the Presidency should publish the names of the owners of vehicles returned, and the documents related to each vehicle. Abronye DC is such a genuine person and should be taken serious in what he does, especially in protecting state property. NPP leadership should depend on citizens like that for Akufo-Addo's government to succeed. And much will depend on Akufo-Addo himself, whose leadership qualities are being tested right now. The delay in prosecuting the NDC corrupt officials is inexcusable. Akufo-Addo should act fast to avoid losing the goodwill of the majority who voted for him to bring sanity into the corrupt fabric of the society. Eyes are watching!!
