  If it is compulsory, why would anyone refuse to leave. This sums up the lawlessness in the country. The employee has attained some compulsory retirement age but somebody is still processing his monthly salary. So, doesn't the GES have an HR department?

  1. notify them of their retirement date ahead of time;
  2. Get them to fill the due forms ahead of time;
  3. Cut them of payroll on the notification dat; and
  4. Pay into their account their due renumerationthe on the due date.

  All employees who attain the compulsory retirement age of 60years must leave to allow for new people recruited as a way of fighting the unemployment in the country.

  Retiring able bodied persons at age 60 is of no sense. Typically people in Ghana start careers around age 23/25 and marry around age 30 or later. Theier first child comes atound 35 and have to retire 25 years later when their children are most likely in school or still kids. This a sure appeal to CORRUPTION TO SECURE ONE'S RETIREMENT. In America you can work till you fall dead if you like anf if the employer wanted you to. The Social security age of 65 or 62 is only benchmark for claiming your benefits . WE MUST LEARN FROM OTHERS SUCCESS.
