Netherland Ambassador leads delegation to GPHA to explore investment opportunities

The Netherlands Ambassador to Ghana, His Excellency Ron Strikker has led a delegation from Netherlands to the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority (GPHA) to explore investment opportunities at the country’s ports.

According to the Netherland Ambassador, businesses in that country are interested in partnering the port authority to develop some port facilities.

He said the Netherland government has drawn a program targeted at promoting technology and investments between the two countries.

Paul Asare Ansah, the Director General of the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority, who was flanked by some managers of the authority said management of the ports is focused on enhancing the level of efficiency with automation of all business processes in addition to increasing the port capacity.

He also said the fluidity of the country’s corridor is very essential to trade in the country, hence, the port authority has taken some steps to ensure that the bottlenecks along the country’s corridor are reduced significantly.
