Speaking in an interview with, Eye on Port, the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Shippers Authority, Sylvia Asana Owu described the incident as very unfortunate.

She said the Ghana Shippers Authority is interested in conducting an investigation to ascertain the veracity of the claims made by Abdul Rasak against the customs division of the GRA.

Asana Owu advised importers not to give up after their goods have been auctioned since they have the right to demand from customs how much the goods where sold for.

She added that Ghana Shippers Authority remains committed to resolving the challenges confronting shippers in the country.
