  THIS NEED TO BE DONE TO PREVENT THIS UNNECESSARY LYNCHING OF INNOCENT GHANAIANS. WHEN PEOPLE TRUST THE POLICE, THEY WILL REPORT CRIMINALS TO THE POLICE INSTEAD OF TAKING THE LAW INTO THEIR OWN HANDS.

  If they won't report criminals to police they should keep then. Do you know the problems of the police before making this comment? At times try to find out what they are going through.

  What a BIG JOKE? I.G.P. as you speak they are on our roads collecting one-cedi one - cedi needlessly from poor and not so gainfully employd drivers. Will that one to stop? A big joke.

  I believe the procedures in taking bribes are what they teach them during their training.
  They are always on the roads but tell me how many times have they a drive to court. So are they saying the drivers are always perfect ...

  A). why should you collect money when some one want to bail an accuse person in custody ? be faithful and now stop the illegal charging
  
  b) why do your men beat an accuse person who is already in handcuff ? This is illegal on your part to do so because it cant be necessary force in arrest which the law permit you because the person had already been arrested
  
  2. why do your men stop motorist and collect their drivers license to handicap the driver ? we all know in this country as the one of the ways or tactics used to bully motorist - so if you want to ask for the altitudinal change , just instruct them to stop doing that or if found face the sacking consequence . after that you deploy all those lazy CIDs to check if your men are still doing it or not
  
  3.) the policemen on duty either at station or on the road must be ready to assist people who are in need.
  
  4. Ghana police personals are on respectful and rude - that means you must assign the right man to the right job that is professionalism- dont send operation police man to check motorist on the road. that would help you to immediately identify a false policeman on the road or in operation because their trainings are not the same
  5. stop the cover ups- eg is the taxi driver striped naked and that bogus report- when you do that you have faded the faith , even the taxi driver had in Ghana police.
  
  6.you should hate the crime committed but not the person.
  
  7. the IGP must find a way of testing the honesty in your men on duty by using special CID group to achieve a better results . that is valuation after training .you dont have to wait till the person is due to promotion before doing valuation. it must be done unexpectedly
  
  THERE MUST BE PUBLIC EDUCATION ON HOW THE POLICE WORK , and the end of your duty in handling cases.
  
  there must be division of labour here
  that after the arrest , you produce the suspect to court.
  the charges are prescribed by the AG office and theY DO THE PROSECUTION so if the accuse is set free the people would not blame the police but the AG for not doing their job well,

  Many of the policemen are corrupt and cheat, they took loans and failed to pay, when civil action is instituted against them, they failed to get the writ of summons, only for their superiors to tell the court to serve the culprit through the IGP, why. Always want to cheat.
