We don't need Cocobod. Let revenue collectors collect appropriate taxes from farmers and ask Cocobod officials to go and look for some work somewhere. Else, they should also go into farming and pay themselves the amounts they receive now. they are a big waste to Ghana and Cocoa farmers in general.

How much is the Chief Executive and board chairman (Hackman Owusu Agyeman) taking now? We are citizens and not spectators. Eyes are watching.

I didn't expect any less than what's is been reported by the world bank. We live in a country where everything has to be government involvement even in the private sector you have to have friends in public institutions before your business can be meaningful.
When government is involved in basically everything it creates a system where the people becomes their puppets and when the people become puppets the does whatever it likes without proper accountability

I am just puzzled by this same name recognition - Hackman.
Is this new COCOBOD chairman related to another former COCOBOB chairman- late 60's -called UK Hackman?
Weird coincidence, isn't it ?

If you want to know more about how cocoa farmers negotiate the price of their produce, go to Cote D'Ivoire and find out their experience over the years if their have livelihoods have been improved and how richer they are now. After all, if that works better, cassava, maize, plantain etc farmers may be considered the richest people in Ghana.
Enough of development agencies like world bank who think they know all but sadly their consultancies and policy prescriptions in most developing countries have made them worse off.
