Crimes thrive when culprits who commit such offences are not sent behind bars for decades. We even condone such offences with our fa ma Nyame attitude. Enye shwee because it has become the law of the land, everybody is doing it so nobody sees anything wrong with it. We have corrupted everything we lay our hands on even the Bible.This is the sad state of affairs we have in Ghana. There is too much ignorance going on in Ghana and the "intelligent thieves" in concert prey on it. They come in all shapes and shades like pastors, politicians, CEOs you name them. THIEVES!!! And as long as such serious offences are trivialised we will make no headway. Simply put we are doomed.

My own nephew who was accused of backing up into a police officer's car at a filling station, was arrested by the SAME police officer and put in jail - the police officer took it upon himself to be the "judge" and "executer" of his own 'arbitrary' judgement by taking my nephew to jail, even though my nephew said it was not his fault - he said the police officer did not pay attention while entering the filling station and hit his (my nephew's) car. This should have been a case of "I said, he said" which did not warrant a jail sentence - definitely NOT by the police officer himself. SO WHY ARE THOSE CRIMINALS WHO STOLE MILLIONS OF DOLLARS FROM THE STATE STILL FREE AND NOT IN JAIL OR PRISON?

Just sum up our total revenue plus loans and aid and match it with the sum of development in the country in last 24-30 or so years; from Health to Education; from Environment to Technology; from Infrastructure to Innovation. I know Rawlings started the demise of the country with his coup and then fooled the people by forming a party (NDC). Kuffour did well in his first term and then caved in to corruption in his second term. Atta Mills was a good man but not a politician as he couldnt control the rot that was going on around him. Now came Mahama who knows nothing but delight himself in the position, and allowed the country to sink to the abyss.

More so both NDC and NPP sing to the chorus of the Breton Woods institutions. These institutions were set up to ensure that whichever country that comes to them for loans and institute their measures never rises but becomes dependent on them. NDC and NPP WILL NEVER stop going to the World Bank, IMF and other institutions because they have no other strategy of raising revenue but to carry a bowl going around the world and begging for money. And when they get the money, they misuse it. It is sad.

Therefore please understand that NDC and NPP have collectively destroyed the country. I am not sure whether you remember the Acheampong regime in the 70s. This guy with his Abongo military regime did incredibly well than the so-called intellectuals of NDC and NPP. It is a shame to see unprecedented mass unemployment and abject poverty and hopelessness in spite of Ghana's huge wealth. What have these two parties done with the resources? The answer is this: they have sold them to foreign nationals and cronies (for pittance) to the disadvantage of the Ghanaian.
Indeed NDC and NPP should NOT be trusted with the nation again irrespective of who leads them. They have the same philosophy and strategy. Dont be fooled by what they say they stand for (social democrats or conservatives), its all prank.
