If our politicians were to stop stealing state monies and properties, if they were to use our resources to good use, where jobs were readily available, these migrants including myself in the UK wouldn't have left a country like Ghana. Most of the affected individuals have not been working and can't afford the transportation cost from Saudi Arabia and the amount being charged to process their documents. The Ghana government is obligated to ensure the safety of its citizens at all cost.

It is the duty of the government to seek these people out and provide the means for them to be transported back to Ghana and even settled properly, giving them temporary accommodation and spending money. That is what Government id for.

It is silly and shortsighted for the officials to threaten the stranded that they will not go to their aid if something happens to them after the amnesty. A nation must always avail its resources for the safety of any of its citizens.

Some of us completed our masters in education since 2013 and submitted 100s of cvs and attended 100s of interviews yet there was no positive results.
We travelled to Dubai to work and because we loved our country when the ministry of education announced vacancies for teachers we came back home and purchased a form at GCB to get enrolled but what happened in last year may 21st 99% of those I write the exams with were rejected so we have to travel to suffer .
Even though am not in Ghana but if I get a job home will surely come back to work and stay with my family.

We spend a lot of money to place these servants of the state in positions outside Ghana to ensure that they act to safeguard fellow citizens only for them to declare themselves kings and queens. Nana Addo may wish to recall all embassy officials who donot consider themselves servants of the people.
The Saudis have a right to issue deadlines. It the duty of the embassy to educate the people for compliance and to seek to provide advocacy for those in awkward situations. To threaten the latter group at this stage smacks of utter arrogance.
