Zargon, how stupid can you be? Your NDC has used 8 years to steal all the money from the state coffers and you foolishly expect the NPP to fix the mess you've left behind in 4 months.

The NDC used "buga-buga" tactics to win the 2012 elections with the aid of the EC and Justice Atuguba. Now see what they've left behind---lots of debts everywhere. They want the new gov't to fix all the mess they bequeathed to Ghanaians under 12 months? These are the same people AFRC/P-NDC who executed Army Generals and other citizens for what they termed "graft" and "kalabule" in their so-called revolution. It's only in NDC's world that Ghanaians could be charged 21cents/kwh in electric power consumption; I pay 5cents for the same amount of power consumption, here in Lloydminster, AB. Canada. Yet through their propaganda operatives like Alhaji Bature, Kwabena Akandoh, Allotey Jacobs etc., they want confuse Ghanaians by way of propaganda and lies as usual. But God no sleep; he will make a way for the suffering masses. NDC is trying to tell Ghanaians that they will be back in 2020. Very interesting to note!

I would rather use that amount of money to reverse engineer or restructure the whole system. Identify institutions that can and would be taken off the grid completely, via renewable energy ie solar so they have their own source of power with backflow linkages to the grid system. Having done that, you free up extra energy for industry, with the added benefit of reducing your liability to the BDC's and the banks. Industry and IPP can then negotiate some good tariffs that reduces the cost of power from that very high average within the sub-region whilst maintaining control over your distribution system and doing the needed retooling from the front end, after making sure the backend in this case, the renewable energy end, is solid.
There are no quick fixes but a methodical, systematic, deliberative approach to the energy situation that cannot be fixed in a moment.
