Nana I keep condemn tributing that the duty on imports to Ghana is beresucratically cumbersome and too expensive to clear a common goods. I have been involved in small scale export of vehicle to Benin with my friends from Niger. Later over to lome and later to Accra when president Kuffour was on the throne and urge Ghanaian living abroad to come back. I push all my capitol to focus in Accra. Things went abbysmal till now. My last trip tobtema was in February and March this year. What I experienced at Tema harbour with highly bureaucratic chain of go here to there to pay hefty duty and nemerpuse feed has made me never to try it again . on mybretirn back to home. All my friends who does export/shipment just said "I TOLD YOU SO. YOUR CAPITAL WILL BE GONE AND ALL IS HOME AND TAKEN 31ST TEMA HARBOUR." Ghana is spoilt if you Nana cannot look to this kind of defrauding deasporae. Ghana will never face lifted. Remember when Pres Jerry Rawlings came to rule Ghana when an items is brought into Ghana items from 1-6 are all duty free from 7 up are a taxable/dutied. Also pick up truck are duty free.together with tractors for farming. Nana. Please remember Ghana is loosing money Big time for slapping items shipped by Ghanaian living abroad with hefty duty and fees and taxes has made it difgicuktvto bring anything to ghana. Most Ghanaian left their car confiscated and later sold to party affiates for a cheap. Example is a 2016 Toyota Camry or a Sprinter van which cost more the $10,000 and the hefty duty cannot be paid will be sold for 200-800ghc to Ghanaian in Ghana. Nana I applauded you for tapping THE experience we cfrom former presidents. You have more to do to work upstart the Ghana economy. Ask president much out you'r partner as to how he did it. Remember you cannot make a money insistently in pieces to make your potential if you continue TO put hefty duty on goods and services. Vice president knows this as an economist thanks
