Ammisah Arthur is simply incompetent. It is not surprising because he got his masters from Legon and so cannot compare himself with Bawumia who had British and Canadian education.

###SOURCE: CLASSFMONLINE ------ The Government of Ghana is reviewing the debts incurred by the John Mahama administration to find out whether the loans were used for the purposes of which they were contracted, Senior Minister Yaw Osafo Marfo, has revealed. After the review of the debt situation, the findings will be made public to enable the Ghanaian people realise how their moneys were spent by the previous administration, Mr Marfo added. It is recalled that during the electioneering season the then main opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) accused the Mahama government of excessive borrowing but with little to show for, an assertion the then governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) rubbished because they thought they had embarked on several infrastructural projects with those loans. ADVERTISEMENT Mr Marfo speaking during the National Policy Summit on Tuesday May 16 said revealed that the new government is investigating all the debts left behind by Mr Mahama. “We are working on the numbers, the ministry of finance gives us the bulk numbers. But they do not all emanate from one source, we have some sitting in energy, some sitting in SSNIT and we are examining all. As a government and we are doing it gradually and slowly because we must be accurate. “We want to be sure that whatever comes out finally is accurate. The government owes it as a duty to keep the nation informed about these debts and what it was used for.”

Amissah Arthur didn't answer those questions because he had no authority in Mahama's government to speak for himself.He sold his soul and reputation to the Mahama family who quickly sidelined him because they had no use for him in what they were doing.With his knowledge and experience Amissah Arthur should have been leading the charge to reform and upgrade our financial system to catch up with leading African countries.Amissah Arthur was a disappointment on many levels but the most pathetic one was how he sold his hard earned reputation as a scholar and a gentleman to provide a sense of legitimacy to the likes of Asiedu Nketia,Ibrahim,Mahama,Adams and Koku.People who are not even qualified to clean his office.And for what?That I cannot forgive.

Victor Smith is not claiming that he has worked in the Bank before. Arthur Amissah was a Governor of a Banking Institution while Dr. Bawumiah was a deputy Governor of the same Institution. After the 170 questions, one would have expected Arthur Amissah to swiftly respond if not to all but at the majority of the questions. All he said was that anyone asking 170 questions is not serious. Why is he not serious? For me I believe that the saddest mistake Mahama made was to have had this man as running mate. Even up to now after 5 months in office, he has nothing to say about the economy of the country. By this time Bawumiah was up and doing talking of over bloated Voter Register etc. Mr. Amissah was just a joke and was hugely responsible for the miserable defeat of NDC at the polls.

I BELIEVE ANY GHANAIAN INTELLECT DEFINITELY VOTED AGAINST NDC DUE TO ARMISSAH'S INABILITY TO RESPOND TO DR BAWUMIAH.
THE CONCLUSION IS THAT ALL THE 170 ISSUES DR BAWUMIAH RAISED AGAINST MAHAMA'S GOVERNMENT WERE TRUE.

What was he teaching ? In fact I did not study at Legon and have always doubted the quality of work there.

The truth was that the NDC did not have people with the right experise and experience ;how can you compare Ammissah-Arthur to Dr Bawumia ; the quality of both education in economic thought is too wide because in the UK you thought to apply creative thinking and logical reasoning ; the reasearch materioal is available to make economic omn any issue ; Dr Bawumia education was far ahead of Amissah -Arthur ; a degree or a masters degree or a Phd from Legon is uless besides the level of a countrys progress can be determined by the quality of the civil service in that country ; most of the degree holders from Legon in gthe matters of economic reasoning is very very low ; at legon you are thought to pass exams not to reason and so how can Amissah Arthur with a degree from legon an equivalent of 'A' level economics in the US or UK ; how can he answer the issues raised by Dr Bawumia besides the Finance ministers although an Acccountant did not help very much because he had little idea of how to use complex economic tools to reason his case ; Ken Ofori Atta is a good accountant but backed up with Dr Bawumia and Osafo -Marfo with experience ; there was no Amissah -Arthur could answer these questions because aklthough he claims to have he is not good .
