ABSOLUTE TOLERANCE in our daily dealings

Clearly the traders who are being cleared from the area are trying to find any and every excuse to attack and rebel against the authority of the AMA. Lawless behaviour has good on far to long and these squatters and traders have become used to mob mentality and chaos to always intimidate the AMA into stopping any actions and the politician on either side always try to capitalise on any actions. It is high time the NPP and the NDC act in one voice to bring sanity and allow the AMA to do their job to make Accra a capital city we can be proud of.

The traders were asked to leave the Circle Interchange area when it was inaugurated.
For this they vowed to vote against the Mahama admin. When the new gov't took over, they returned to the interchange in force with the law enforcement agencies powerless to stop them.
Now that AMA have decided to act, the traders are up in arms again.
The solution is for AMA to find them a suitable alternative place and negotiate with them to move away. Sanity and commonsense must prevail.

Why do our authorities take the law into their own hands. If the trader has gone against the law, all that is required is to report him to the police in order for him to be prosecuted.

It's about time this eyesore of unkempt looking hawkers or street traders milling around our street interchanges and thoroughfares in our large towns and cities is brought to an end! What happened to our longstanding laws about loitering and hawking? If these people engaging in this illegality have become so addicted because this wound has been allowed to fester for so long that they cannot stop on their own volition, then why not bring in the Army to clear these miscreants from the streets and form them into work gangs for more useful enterprises like major construction projects like Railways development? The Chinese did it to propel them forward in their current modern transformation from their dark days of their failing Communist economy just a few decades back! Street hawking never developed any nation! In fact, the first signs of development is the disappearance of street loitering and hawking just as history showed in Victorian London and pre revolutionary Paris! Please, new Ghana Gov't, stop pussy footing and clean up our streets now!!
