Why did you guys not challenge the call?

I know the challenge would not have made any difference in the call, but it could have influenced him into giving you some advantage in the course of the rest of the game.

I really hope you read my curiosity and give us an answer as to why he nulled the goal. Thank you.

He was part of the team that went to Libya in 1982 cup of Nations along side PSK Paha, Hesse, Kwame Sampson, Haruna Yusif,Sampson Lamptey, goal keeper Owusu Mensah, Kofi Badu, Albert Asasse, George Alhassan, late Emmanuel Quashie and others. He played before Abedi and Tony Yeboah. Sampene u mentioned was far his junior. Finally to let u know, Kwasi was called to the National team when he was with Mines Stars and then moved to Kotoko in the start of 1981-82 season. Please get your facts right

They made Abedi Pele so indispensable, and he became swollen headed that Abedi Pele thought without him there was no Black Stars.
Case in point: in Germany, Ghana vs the German national team in a friendly: there was uncertainty about Abedi Pele arriving on time and featuring in that friendly match. It was agreed that Tony Yeboah should captain the team. A few minutes to the start of the match, Abedi Pele arrived by a special jet from France. He treathend that if the captains band was not given to him, he would not play. Instead of the officials impressing on Abedi Pele to accept the decisions already taken with respect to the captains band for that friendly, they rather insisted that Tony Yeboah should give up the captains band. Poor leadership . Abedi Pele captained Ghana that to go down 7-1 in Germany. Tony Yeboah happened to be the scorer of the lone goal Ghana scored. Let's face fact, Tony Yeboah playing and scoring for Ghana has not been treated well by the FA officials for reason best known to them.

Yeboah should've handed him the armband as soon as he arrived. Then he could tell Yeboah to keep it for that game. He should'nt have to wait for Abedi to threaten or not threaten before doing so. If what you are saying is true, then it only implied that they (FA) wanted Yeboah as captain cos this was a friendly against Germany, where Yeboah was very popular. But that's not how to handle captainship.For example, Wayne Rooney is the captain of Man Utd, but he's been starting from the bench. So Carrick is the next in line with the armband.But as soon as Rooney comes into the game, Carrick goes to him and hand him the armband... There's a process!! I hope you understand. And Abedi deserved to be swollen headed (as you said) cos every time the Black Stars played with him involved, he always gave his country 100%!!! Enough said!!
