  so sad that Africans don't know how to maintain their histories. blackman is the first human on the planet earth but none can tell what happened to theirs generation over 40,000 years ago! or why they lost control over the world that given to them by mighty God! most of them can talk about slavery but can't explain what happened before Christ or even why a white man came in to existing. we wait for white man to tell us lies and we take it as the Holly truth! we don't do any research by our own. to me its mystery that a first humanbeing on earth became slavery and now 3rd class humanbeing on earth. mystery indeed.

  When Kwaku Baako informed us about the atrocities of Kwesi Pratt during PNDC Regime, some of us did not believe until the truth was confirmed during the NRC. Kwesi Pratt is the most dangerous Journalist Ghana had ever have, he had the gut to recommend his fellow journalists to be executed by PNDC. Pratt even recommended Baako to be killed by the regime, thank God Baako was instead touchered violently and severely but his life was spared. This is what Kwesi Pratt can do. Now Pratt is a secret agent to NDC and US Embassy in Ghana. May God forgive Pratt and spare him the untold evils that will come upon him and his generations. The souls of those journalist killed through Pratt's recommendations to PNDC will never forgive Pratt. Now Pratt has the guts to take Diplomatic Passport and smuggled his weak-headed children to work at the Ministries under Mills NDC, may God forgive Pratt and his dependance and spare them of the evils ahead of them...

  In order not to lose Salaga market to a car park development, the minister should preserve it as a historical site. Many people lost their humanity through slavery and slave trade that went on in Salaga slave market over two centuries. Many rich families in Ghana then Gold Coast bought slaves from the market. Today the slaves still live with their masters not as slaves but as freed men and women, who have intermarried with the master's family. They freed slaves do not know where they came from and have chosen to remain part of the master's family. The slaves can only trace their origin to the Salaga slave market.

  When are we Africans ever going to wake up and realise that preserving our HISTORY is just as important filling our stomachs and producing babies by turning all our streets into markets and, now, our historical sites into car parks! That's why we're the only race on Gods earth who never wrote down our history and had to rely on the Europeans recording of our History! Please, Minister of Antiquities, get out of the comfort of your office in Accra and get on the move and save this Salaga Slave market for posterity for a change!!

  Last year Thailand made more than U.S.$40 billion from a total of some 31 million tourists who visited it.
  
  The question is: What has Thailand got by way of natural heritage and traditional cutural heritage that Ghana doesn't have?
  
  This outrage must be reversed immediately. Full stop.
  
  Do the local authorities in that district not realise that that all-important Salaga slave market provides an important historical narrative of great interest to and for Africans in the diaspora from the Caribbean, the Americas and Europe? Haaba.
