Now the fact that it is looking good with regard to number of visitors and subsequently the revenue that will be generated by this mall is bound to create a lot of envy and jealousy but who cares? Kumasi is a successful commercial city with lots of rich and middle class residents so the mall was always going to be successful.

Because the mall is in Ashanti region an extremely important region; a prosperous region that produces 27% of the country GDP even though Ashantis make up only 15% of the population (remember Ashanti region has gold, manganese, bauxite, cocoa and timber and it was the region that contributed most of the Ghana's wealth before the discovery of oil in Western Region).

I was a Kumasi resident in the '70s. Kumasi was indeed the garden city. I stayed variousy at the Uaddara barracks and ridge. Yes, Kumasi was beautiful up to Nana Opoku Ware reign. But this current chief is just one piece of thrash. All he is interested in is money...duping indigenes and his own otumfuo-made levies whilst the improvement of the city is gone to the dogs. I was sad to see most recently, cattle and herdsmen running amok in broad daylight. Just google Kumasi and see the most ramshackle of an aerial portrayal and view of Kumasi like a zongo. That is Otumfuo for you....aka "yentie obiaa".

Consumption mentality, how many dignitaries actually attend the opening of a factory making made in Ghana products, instead you have all these frontmen for foreign companies parading as Ghanaian big men

Yes, but it was during Mahama's reign that all these developments took place. What is Nana Addo going there to do? To take credit for what he has no clue about as he usually does, or to throw out a new set of wonderful promises? The propaganda against Mahama will fail because his legacy is larger than that of any Ghanaian president since Nkrumah. Check the number of major hospitals, polyclinics, Water projects, Road projects, Tertiary and Secondary school projects, construction and improvements of our airports and harbours, and you will see that the man stands tall. The NPP communist inferior tactics being deployed to denigrate Mahama is simply because they know that the lies and deception they used to win the elections will soon unravel, and that Mahama will subsequently bounce back, so they must use all means available to damage him. The lies and propaganda will not wash, because Ghanaians are not that gullible, and that we are getting to see the incompetence, corruption and ethnocentric tendencies of the ever lying NPP. Mahama will surely prevail, and empty-headed lunatic goons like Kwame in Virginia, will fail in their plot.
