This is the most stupid comment ever to be made by an ape who appears like a human. A man who has no identity, neither a reasonable Ewe nor an Asante. Mahama performed better that most of the presidents who preceded him, including all the Akans you can think of. Thus, by your idiocy and lunatic logic and analogy, no Akan will ever be elected to the presidency of this country. A failed presidential aspirant who is struggling to lick the "ass" Nana Addo and the NPP should be the last person to tell Ghanaians why is good for them. Mahama in 4 years is/has built 4 regional hospitals in WA, Bolga, Kumasi and Accra, more than any president in our history. He is /has built more polyclinics than any president. He took the notorious Nkrumah circle head-on, and has transformed the place, and the same is going on at Kasoa, it's environs and so many roads in Accra. Since Guggisburg and Nkrumah, no government saw the need to exposed our harbours to accommodate modern super tankers and ships, yet this man was bold enough to push our country up that level. Today, the Tema motorway is on the bring of reconstruction to a modern six lane road like the autobahn in Europe, thanks to the foresight of Mahama. After Nkrumah, it is Mahama who has retooled the Armed forces with more ships and aircraft than any president. The Mahama administration has built more water treatment plants, and increased the capacities of those in Accra and its environs. Talk about the Kyebi, the 3-town water project, the Winneba water project, the Wa water project and so many of them, more than any other president did. As for modern markets, there is no need talking about it, because non of the post Nkrumah governments ever did anything apart from Mahama. Today the proposed Mankesim market which had been designed and was billed for construction is in limbo because we have people like Akpaloo who are in power, and all they know is about food. The Americans and Europeans sacrificed comfort fort infrastructural development, which then propelled then to where they are today. All we know is pull-him-down, hatred, backbiting, sycophancy and ethnocentric alliances. Shame on the nation wreckers. Mahama's legacy will prevail, and God willing, we shall have more of him. Certainly, some other good and competent forward-looking presidents will follow suit, and they could be of any ethnicity, and from any part of the country. Akpaloo and his ilk can go kiss the Devil and go to hell.

Mahama in 4 years is/has built 4 regional hospitals in WA, Bolga, Kumasi and Accra, more than any president in our history. He is /has built more polyclinics than any president. He took the notorious Nkrumah circle head-on, and has transformed the place, and the same is going on at Kasoa, it's environs and so many roads in Accra. Since Guggisburg and Nkrumah, no government saw the need to exposed our harbours to accommodate modern super tankers and ships, yet this man was bold enough to push our country up that level. Today, the Tema motorway is on the bring of reconstruction to a modern six lane road like the autobahn in Europe, thanks to the foresight of Mahama. After Nkrumah, it is Mahama who has retooled the Armed forces with more ships and aircraft than any president. The Mahama administration has built more water treatment plants, and increased the capacities of those in Accra and its environs. Talk about the Kyebi, the 3-town water project, the Winneba water project, the Wa water project and so many of them, more than any other president did. As for modern markets, there is no need talking about it, because non of the post Nkrumah governments ever did anything apart from Mahama. Today the proposed Mankesim market which had been designed and was billed for construction is in limbo because we have people like Akpaloo who are in power, and all they know is about food. The Americans and Europeans sacrificed comfort fort infrastructural development, which then propelled then to where they are today. All we know is pull-him-down, hatred, backbiting, sycophancy and ethnocentric alliances. Shame on the nation wreckers. Mahama's legacy will prevail, and God willing, we shall have more of him. Certainly, some other good and competent forward-looking presidents will follow suit, and they could be of any ethnicity, and from any part of the country. Akpaloo and his ilk can go kiss the Devil and go to hell.

I agree one hundred percent that it would be difficult for a northerner to be elected president of Ghana again in the foreseeable future, but this is because of former President Mahama's unwise policy of disproportionately appointing northerners (86% of his appointees being northerners, according to Prof. E. Adei, former rector of GIMPA) to key positions).

Unlike former President Rawlings who appointed mostly Akans, especially Asantes and Fantes, to key positions, Mahama preferred northerners, so that it soon became clear to Ghanaians that it was the northerners who were ruling them. This was what pained Akans like Osafo Marfo and Prof. Adei. The former had complained in a secret tape that the Akans own the natural resources of the country and yet they were being ruled by those who lack such resources in their regions. It was talks like this that conscientized the Akans to vote for people like Akufo-Addo who ordinarily should not have become president. For the Akans, especially the Asantes, ethnicity is more important to them than anything else.

Besides, generally, Ghanaians don't vote on issues but on ethnic allegiance. No matter what a candidate's short-comings, Ghanaians prefer to vote for a candidate only because s/he hails from among them. This explains why the Akans rejected President Mahama for Akufo-Addo, whose numerous shortfalls they preferred to ignore. It was the same reason why an unintelligent person like Kufuor could be elected president of Ghana.

The NDC people and people of other parties should learn, especially those who are still clamouring for northern candidates to become contenders for the presidency in 2020, any northerner who stands again for his/her party's nomination is doomed for defeat if s/he wins the party's nomination. Akans are generally not ready to vote for a northerner again. Mahama's presidency has taught them a lesson.

They may try some few parliamentary but as for the presidential, no way. In fact, ndc as a party is none existing. Ndc died after the 2016 elections. My prayer is that ndc will not rise anymore in the land of Ghana. I would rather that PPP or CPP become the next biggest force.
We cannot suffer under these incompetence again.

I once launched into an a socio-political argument with him and a group of students in Tottenham, London in the late 1990s. He was then studying ACCA in the then Emile Woolf Colleges in London, near London Bridge. I asked myself whether he was mentality sound judging from how myopic his world view was.
