I suppose all airline companies and private institutions doing business with Ghana Airport Co., nonetheless, operate on credit line basis as is done everywhere. If you exhaust your credit line the creditor denies you further purchases. You receive monthly billings so failed payments may get into past due state and furthermore into delinquency stage. At this stage the credit line is suspended and collection/legal action is instituted. Of course, politics and favoritism play part in the later action. I bet many airlines and institutions may be in the same credit debt situation with Ghana Airport Co., but this is Ibrahim. Aviation fuel is expensive therefore few bills run into huge sum of money.

Why this excitement? I hope Kennedy Agyapong is not going to put his life on this too. Anyway, he has only one life.

That's why the plane s an American registered. So if you remember the infamous American Plane spotted at the Iranian airport saga in 2014. An expose' that created a lot of huh uhh ha around the world, that's the plane under discussion now. As to how much taxes the said plane accrued when it docked at the Ghanaian airports is another question worth asking. There were too many shady undertakings under erstwhile John Mahama administration.

Our inability to stand our ground and denounce wrong and call the spade a spade is one of the main reasons we fail to advance in our Socio Political dispensations. Instead of idiots like these choosing patriotism over nepotism and cronyism, we would rather die in poverty and affliction than to do the right thing. This kind of mindset has nothing to do with an IQ or whatever. How can you make issues with ethnicity and party affiliation when someone has been sighted by a prima facie evidence that the said person may have committed the offense?. Living in a society that's made up of people with different ethnicity, racial or religious background could always be hindrance to our development unless we let trustworthiness transcend these factors and that's what's hindering our development e.g. We Africans. Very soon I may take my time and dissect my take on these topics.

Just go to the airport and get yourself acquainted and educated on the roles played by the several organizations that play various roles. Once again, let me let you idiots know that GACL operates and manages the airports, GCAA is the regulator and licensing authority, and also provides Air Traffic Services, while other private organizations like Aviance, Shell provide ground services to aircraft. Those who are fixated on Ibrahim Mahama with the intention of scattering any comeback attempt by John Mahama, will soon be exposed for their communist inferior tactics. It will not wash. This cooked-up story has surely exposed the fools who only have a young, thriving businessman simply because his brother is one John Mahama. One is compelled to ask the million dollar question as to why now? Peoples cars have been confiscated to the state at our ports for a delay in paying their duties , and also the imposement of additional fees. Its so easy for one to draw conclusions that he had his way through due to the fact that he is the brother to the then president. I therefore urge the present regime to cast the net wider since there may be some other statesmen indulging in similar malpractices causing loses to the country.

Granted, he should have honored all his obligations just like all business people - the only metric to assess success or lack thereof in business.
But thank God he has owned up to it and has made amends.
Let's rid ourselves of score- settling -the country is bigger than that - embrace it, but with a sanction, to deter future rule breakers.

Having said that, what I've been afraid of is that in our zeal to punish him for lack of business judgement and ethics we may be on that proverbial slippery slope of destroying one of our own kind.
From all accounts he runs a successful business.
Call his success what you may -a crony capitalist.
But, he's like the "chaebols" of South Korea - makers of your beloved "Samsun".LG's, etc that's cavoted above all else.

But successful he is ,nonetheless.
So, in my opinion, we should nurture such home- grown successful businessmen and not villify them.
If we don't - as a nation - we will rue the day he's brought down.
We will in essence be creating another JJ Rawlings ill - conceived "Tata Brewerys' " debacle of our inglorious economic past.
And, if this materializes and this young man's business is destroyed or he's forced to sell or merge, I won't be surprised, in the least, to see that "Cyprus registered company Finnatrade" - buying him out to consolidate further it's complete control over Ghana's economy.

This company is a replica of " An Association of West African Merchants" - "AWAM"- as we, who are old enough, knew it and had represented in our not so distant past.

So, I want to be brutal here for a moment.
If there's a company that has to be investigated it is "Finnatrade."
This company controls close to 50% plus of the Ghana's imports

It should be investigated as to how it managed in 2016, to be allegedly responsible for close to 90% non performing loans (NPL) in Ghana banks.

It should further be investigated as to how BOG and the SEC allowed it to allegedly acquire close to 50% of cocoa buying companies.
And, as was further alleged, it did not acquire those companies with it's internally generated funds or with it's company's stock but strictly with loans from the local banks.

Don't know the exposure of those bank's "operational risk capitals", but for Akonode's sake, this company can easily bring down the "House Osagyefo Built."

In my opinion, this is the investigation the "Captain Smarts" and the "Akyenpongs" of. Ghana's investigative world should persue and not this nicle and dime stores of Ibrahim Mahama.
