The use of TWI to teach in the basic level is one of the causes of the dowmward trend of the education in the basic level. It is sad to learn that some of the teachers of TWI background find it a heavy pressure deal to teach in English.
My main question is, is it tribal inferriority complex or primitivity that is why some people in the country are trying to promote TWI in the teaching at those level or what? Why can they not see it simple and progressive that starting teaching the pupils in English will help them better educationally than imposing the TWI on them with a smart negative agenda?
It is shameful to hear that even at the university of legon TWI is most times used by some foolish tribal bigotry professors to teach in the Finance and Accounting classes. Some of the graduates or undergraduates are afraid to complain bcos the professors who are involved in this pracrice would punish them when with low grades.
This crude behaviour of using TWI slow down our education in Ghana unknowingly, There is nothing much to say about this stupid behaviour in our educational system than to ask the so called qualified teachers and professors to stop this tribal inferriority complex of forcing TWI indirectly to be accepted as a national language which is not possible because it can not help us.

You establish a manufacturing firm in Ghana and decide not to run your advert on twi and how that business would be.

Prof., with your many years of u have asked for: Basic Headteachers must be given the autonomy to operate and that is what is happening all over Europe and America. Even locally, comparing public basic schools to private basic schools speak for itself. Its time the political elites and all and sundry took a look at this laudable suggestion from you. Thank you, Prof.

It is time for GES to reform the worthless education system of Ghana from primary to secondary. High powered commission made up of educationists , community members & concerned parents should be tasked to improve how we are educating our young people. The President must act immediately. Our nation is in danger. The galamsey activities & the recent spate in vigilante activities are warning signs.

Knowing the nature of some our people, total autonomy for some shool heads is a recipe for disaster, some will be autocratic without fear of accountability, they will go over top in administering punishments, favouritism will be rife, not to mention financial irregularities and misappropriation of funds.no way, they need to be under scrutiny and accountable. Don't allow this professor to have his way.he is wrong on this issue.
