Just imagine the huge money involved, even the person in the middle of this issue has said he will pay the money and so I don’t understand why those around him are fighting for him. “A person who does not have the nation at heart has issued dud cheques to an institution which is against the laws of the country. “Our party is in power now and we have the majority hand in parliament and so if the NDC are not comfortable when people are punished for squandering states money then the majority should make a law that will see to it that all those who are against such act and are always talking about political witch hunting are transferred to the Gambaga witch camp because they are all witches and don’t want the country to move forward” he said.

He is also fleecing the SSNIT for refusing to pay the contributions on time even though he has already deducted the money from the employees paycheck. So he is ostensibly taking advantage of both the workers and the SSNIT simultaneously. What a criminal intent.

Wrong expectations and failure of GOG's monies hitting his accounts has been explained by him as the cause of his inability to pay as scheduled and for the dud cheques saga.
If this guy pays lately his employees' SSNIT contributions to me is better than those who don't pay at all.

Keep in mind that government was the number one perpetrator of the "PhD". Remember Rawlings' rule in the AFRC and P/NDC days ? He and his cronies ruled without any constitutionally mandated laws. And they sure did as they pleased, pulling people down.

Now the rule of law does exist in Ghana, and Mr Ibrahim deserved his day in court if there is any suspicion of legal infraction. His kindness does not absolve him of any wrongdoing, in the face of our laws.

For the information of all the haters and envious characters attacking Ibrahim Mahama, let it be known that the man did not evade tax. He brought in equipment to work on government project, made arrangements with customs to pay the duties with post-dated cheques which he assumed will be cleared because government was to pay money into that account on submission of certificates of work done. Unfortunately, and for unforseen circumstances, the plan fell through. The man has contacted customs for rescheduling of the payment plan, which of course will come with interest, and now for political reasons he is being bounded and branded with all sorts of bad news. Ibrahim will surely clear that debt and all the noise-making haters will be ashamed. This is a man who took just three days to repair the motorway which would have been closed to traffic for over a month, according to the contractor who was originally contracted to do the job. And he did it for free. This man used his men and expertise to help dredge the Odaw river fir free at a time the rains were pouring and we had run into serious flood situations. Today some stupid and unpatriotic Ghanaians, most of whom have run away from what they perceive as difficulties in Ghana and are not prepared to sacrifice a bit, and are leaving in the comfort of the whiteman's country, have the audacity to insult this hardworking youngman. If his brother, the former president had been as corrupt and unpatriotic as the Kyebi Mafia are doing today, he could have influenced the scrapping of those taxes through foul means long before he left office. Afterall, some foreign contractors are allowed to import equipment without paying taxes/duties once they are to be used for government projects. Today the Kyebi Mafia have gone for a 2.25 billion dollars foreign bonds at 19.5%, and asking us to pretend that it is a domestic bond. Meanwhile, they have interests and stakes in the foreign entity that night 95% of the bonds for which we are to pay interest in dollars for 15 years. Yes, Ghana is now saddled with they payment of 400 million dollars every year as interest after which we will have to pay the principal of 2.5 billion dollars. Thus is the mother of all reap offs, never equalled in the annals of our history. And yet some idiots and ignoramuses have the audacity to use Ibrahim Mahama as their canon fodder while the issue of the 2.5 billion dollars gargantuan thievery is deliberately left in the background to die a natural death. What a shame, and yet the usual empty-headed, lunatic unpatriotic supporters of the NPP and their surrogates are at it supporting this great national reap-off, and instead diverting attention by using Ibrahim Mahama as a cover-up.

The British High Commission, is not a court of law. You go there, or any other embassy, to get a visa. You make certain representations to them. They expect you to.live up to those representations. If you don't, then they have a duty to come to their own conclusions. In every country that I know of, if you have a visa which is expiring, you can go to their immigration office and ask for an extension. If Boakye's daughter for example, was going to stay longer then it was her DUTY to go get an extension. The fact that the daughter is a grown woman does not absolve the father from the fact that he guaranteed her stay. As a Ghanaian, I bow my head in shame, when we behave and think like we have no sense. We have some MPs and business people and lawyers, rationalising this disgraceful way of doing things. The whole of Ghana, is a mental hospital!

They can get away with this because authorities in these two receiving countries see them as part of them.
