  A president or former President of Ghana must ideally remain in Ghana and help with the governance of the country. By accepting the position in the English Masonic lodge Kufuor ceases to be a Ghanaian and must therefore lose all rights and privileges accorded former leaders of Ghana.
  
  In Ghana we believe that the African is capable of managing his own affairs but we acknowledge our collective deficiencies in knowledge.
  
  The Queen of England barred British judges from becoming freemasons. If the Queen took that action then why should still Kufuor enjoy his right and privileges within the Ghana and the African continent.
  
  Kufuor must lose access to all sensitive information regarding the government of Ghana and the African Union.

  If these prisoners will hung themselves, let them do it! Many of them are killers and stealers.
  They probably want food from Golden Tulip or chop sticks.

  They often refuse to eat does not mean they are presently on hunger strike. The caption is alarming to say the least. But truth is that under international law prisoners still have rights, their incarceration notwithstanding ...

  They often refuse to eat does not mean they are presently on hunger strike. The caption is alarming to say the least. But truth is that under international law prisoners still have rights, their incarceration notwithstanding. These rights include the right to adequate and nutritious food. Refer to the United Nations Standard Minimum Rules for the Treatment of Prisons (UNSMRs ) passed as far back as in 1955, revised in September 2015 and renamed the Nelson Mandela Rules. The provisions are very clear that once a person is legally detained the burden to feed him or her is on the detaining authority. Funding to prisons generally deserves a second look. And our prisons can be assisted to make them viable in income generation. That way they will become self-sustaining and help reduce government spending on prisoners. Canada has best practices in this area that we could learn from.
