NII KWAATEI DOESNT GO TO LANDS DEPT, YET HIS DOCUMENTS ARE PROCESSED ASAP. YES, HE KNOWS THE DEPUTY DIRECTOR OR THE JAPANESE AMBASSADOR PERSONALLY. I DONT. THE GORO BOY IS MY AMBASSADOR. THE GORO BOY DIRECTS ME. THE BUTTOMLINE IS, WE LIVE IN A SOCIETY WITH PRIVILEGES FOR A FEW. THOSE OUTSIDE MUST QUEUE AND HUSTLE IN ORDER TO GET SCHOOL ADMISSIONS AND TO OBTAIN PASSPORTS. WITHOUT OUR HELPERS, SOMETIMES FOR SOME COINS TO BUY GORO, LIFE CAN BE TOUGH BECAUSE WE'RE NOT MPS AND GOVERNMENT FUNCTIONARIES OR CONNECTED TO IBRAHIM MAHAMA. TO ME, A GORO BOY IS NOT THE CRIMINAL ISSUING FAKE DOCUMENTS. A CONNECTION MAN, OR GORO BOY, IS LIKE A LAWYER...HE KNOWS THE RIGHT PROCEDURES.

Very good Mr Glover. People like Joe Osei wusu soiled their name when he worked as a DVLA boss due to this goro boys thing. They are a conduit for corruption. Goro boys are almost every where Ghanaians go for service in govt establishments. Name them... Passport office... the ports of entry etc. The problem must be dealt with like the way galamsey menace is being tackled. More grease to the elbow of the minister.
Gh. must be free from corruption.

Flushing out Goro boys is not just making speeches but rather putting in place what it need to be done. There is no sigh showing the customers where to go. Put proper measures not speeches.

These so called "Goro boys" operate at the DVLA centres because of the ridiculously complex licensing application/renewal system operating at these centres and the intentional delays caused by the Staff forcing the public to use these boys as facilitators! How can I do my MOT at any privately operated car service centre in the UK and renew my Road Tax online from my computer instantly without hassle but have to spend several hours to do this at the DVLA in Ghana? Please, Mr Minister, your simplest cure for this is to move into the 21st century and adopt the UK system which now even operates without having to stick any stickers on windscreens which will obviously save costs for motorists as well.
